We're building the country's largest free database of retailer return policies (150+ retailers graded A+ to D), real-time CPSC and FDA product recall cross-checking, military and student discount verification, live Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index data, EIA gas prices, and Federal Reserve borrowing rates — all surfaced inside the shopping flow so consumers can answer "Is this actually a good deal for me?" before they buy.

The Role

We're hiring a senior iOS engineer to own the Thrifle iOS app (live on the App Store — id6763458123) and lead its evolution into the mobile front-end for Thrifle Intelligence. You'll work directly with the founder on the SwiftUI app, the backend integrations that power it, and the structured data layer that connects iOS to the AI pipeline.

This is an iOS role with significant backend ownership — you'll work across SwiftUI (front-end), Node.js + Express + Mongoose (backend), and the Anthropic Claude SDK integration layer that powers deal enrichment, recall cross-checking, and structured content generation.

What You'll Build

• Native SwiftUI features for the Thrifle Intelligence stack: return-policy lookup, recall warnings on product pages, military/student discount verification, live price-pulse data widgets

• Push-notification infrastructure for Deal Radar (real-time price alerts) and Recall Radar (product-safety alerts)

• iOS ⇄ backend API contracts using the existing x-auth-token JWT auth pattern

• App Store optimization for high-intent low-competition keywords (return policy lookup, recall checker, military discount finder)

• Migration of legacy UIKit view controllers into SwiftUI (clean slate ahead)

Tech Stack

• Swift 5.9+, SwiftUI, iOS 15+ target

• Kingfisher (images), KeychainTokenStore (token management), async/await networking

• Node.js + Express + Mongoose backend, Anthropic Claude SDK

• AWS S3, Cloudflare edge cache, IndexNow for SEO

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years shipping production iOS apps (SwiftUI strongly preferred)

• Comfort working across the stack — willing to write Node/Express endpoints when iOS needs new data

• Strong opinions on app architecture, design tokens, accessibility

• Bonus: experience with Apple's StoreKit, App Store Search Ads, or app analytics
